The award is intended to promote CAIW as a leading association in the industry, with a reputation for fostering professional development among members through education, networking, and personal growth. Recipients are recognized and promoted through the awarding of a prestigious prize package intended to encourage new membership and generate interest in the CAIW.

The ideal candidate has achieved significant success in their career, and has shown a high-level of professionalism and motivation. Other factors may include engagement in his or her company, the insurance industry as a whole, and the community at large. These accomplishments should be tangiblydemonstrated in the candidate’s CV, reference letters, and any other supporting documents provided as part of the nomination package.
Nominees may self-nominate, submitting their own CV’s along with a letter of referral from their employer and any other relevant documentation or letters of support. Alternatively, someone may be nominated by their association, a peer, or their employer, with a summary of professional and personal accomplishments and a letter of support. There is no limit to the number of nominations from each association.
Three finalists from the pool of candidates will be selected by Steamatic Canada. The applications of the three finalists will then be forwarded on to a selection committee comprised of a selection of CAIW members and one Steamatic representative.
